Malta
This could be your next unforgettable destination
This compact island nation consistently comes top of the Europe Rainbow Index as Europe’s safest and most inclusive country for LGBTQ+ travellers.
It’s also one of the best diving destinations on the continent, with guided dives and snorkelling trips for all ages and abilities. If you don’t fancy getting wet, kids will love Malta’s National Aquarium, home to over 175 species, a walkthrough glass tunnel where you can spot sharks, and animal encounters.
Smaller kids will love the Playmobil fun park, while the Popeye Village makes an interesting excursion. Built as a film set for a musical production in 1980, it has since become a family favourite entertainment park with rides, shows and more.
Elle Says:
Valletta, Malta’s capital city, is a UNESCO World Heritage City and a former European Capital of Culture (2018), and melds ancient and contemporary culture to excellent effect. Don’t miss it!
